Japanese brand G.V.G.V. hit the runway at belle salle SHIBUYA FIRST on October 17th to show off the brand’s upcoming 2012 Spring-Summer Collection. The runway show is the first time in a year, due to the lack of a show last season because of the earthquake disaster.
The brand presented an image of a ’50s pinup girl posing on the Miami beach side, updated for the modern fashion scene by showing pastel-colored body-hugging dresses and mixing the print of southern country plants and animals. The leather items are collaboration with “BLACKMEANS”, that is continuing since last season, having become more clean and refreshing. G.V.G.V. tries new forms and colors including the contrasting elements of feminine and masculine in a specific way. It has been six months since the Great East Japan Earthquake struck on Mar. 11, the designer MUG put fresh energy into this show with message “Be more happier, be more cheerful and powerful.”.
